Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (1984) Studio Ghibli unused movie ticket

Unused Studio Ghibli’s fantasy anime movie ticket- Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (1984)

This 1984 Japanese advance ticket (tokubetsu kanshōken) for Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind is stunning piece of animation history, preserved in near-mint condition with its stub unclipped and serial number No. 00680 fully intact. Printed for an April 29, 1984 regional release at the Yanai Central theater in Yamaguchi Prefecture, the 900-yen student ticket holds tremendous historical weight as the foundational moment of Hayao Miyazaki's career. While produced shortly before Studio Ghibli's official founding in 1985, Nausicaä was the critical and commercial success that catapulted Miyazaki into international acclaim, establishing his signature themes of environmentalism and pacifism while laying the direct creative and financial groundwork for Ghibli's creation.
