Shipping policy



SHIPPING POLICY

At Tokyo RetroWorks we understand that movie memorabilia isn't just "memorabilia" —it’s history. We take extreme care to ensure your items arrive in the exact condition they left our archives.

1. Processing Times

  • All orders are processed within 3-8 business days.

  • Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or bank holidays.

  • If we are experiencing a high volume of orders (or attending a film fair), shipments may be delayed by a few days. We will notify you via email if there is a significant delay.

2. Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

  • UK Domestic: We ship via [e.g., Royal Mail Tracked 48 / Special Delivery]. Estimated delivery: 3–8 business days.

  • International: We ship worldwide via [e.g., DHL / UPS / Royal Mail International Tracked]. Estimated delivery: 7–21 business days depending on your location.

3. Professional Packaging Standards

We use collector-grade materials to prevent transit damage:

  • Chirashi  Shipped flat in rigid, non-bend stays or reinforced board-backed envelopes to ensure they remain crisp and uncreased.

  • Tickets Shipped in an acrylic block with reinforced cardboard
  • VHS tapes- Shipped either with protective cases or reinforced cardboard depending on the item. All vhs tapes will be securely protected with necessary wrapping.

4. Shipment Confirmation & Tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking portal will be active within 24 hours.

5. Customs, Duties, and Taxes (International)

Duties and Taxes will be calculated and paid at the checkout to avoid any incurring charges once the item has been dispatched and reached its designated destination

  • Note: We legally must declare the full purchase value on customs forms.

6. Protection 

1. Full Transit Protection

We believe you should receive what you paid for, in perfect condition. Every order shipped from Tokyo RetroWorks is fully insured by us through our designated couriers at no additional cost to you. From the moment your package leaves our warehouse until it reaches your doorstep, we take full responsibility for its safety.

2. Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us at www.tokyoretroworks@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery. To process a replacement or refund quickly, we require:

  • A clear photo of the damaged item.
  • A photo of the exterior shipping box/packaging.
  • Your Order Number.

3. Lost or Stolen Packages

Because we insure our shipments directly through the courier, we will handle the claim process for you.

  • Lost in Transit: If your tracking has not updated for more than [7 for Domestic / 21 for International] days, please notify us. We will file a claim with the carrier.
  • Stolen (Marked Delivered): If your package is marked as "Delivered" but you cannot find it, please check with neighbors or your building manager first. If it is still missing after 3 business days, contact us to initiate a carrier investigation and resolution.

4. Our Commitment

You will never be left "empty-handed" due to a courier error. We handle the paperwork and the claims so you can focus on enjoying your purchase.
