This item is an original beautifully preserved Japanese preview invitation postcard (試写会ご招待状) for Hayao Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli film Kiki's Delivery Service (Majo no Takkyūbin). Sent to select attendees prior to the movie's general release, the postcard lists an advance screening date of July 25, 1989, at the Nagoya Toei theater—just four days before the film premiered nationwide in Japan on July 29. The film became a massive commercial and critical triumph, ranking as the highest-grossing Japanese film of 1989 and cementing Studio Ghibli's status as an animation powerhouse
